Create an Event Day

Build a minute-by-minute event-day timeline that reflows itself when anything moves.

An Event Day is a minute-by-minute timeline for a single day — a wedding, a shoot, a multi-vendor production. A cascade engine solves every item's wall-clock time from its sequence, duration, buffers, and travel, so the times are never stored: change one thing and the whole day reflows. Use it once a date is locked and you need a schedule you can share with the client and every vendor.

Steps

  1. Go to the Event Days page (/dashboard/run-of-show).
  2. Click "New event day" — or use the empty-state button if you have none yet. Optionally link it to a client and project so booked services and contacts carry over.
  3. You land in the editor (/dashboard/run-of-show/[id]) with two views: List and Timeline.
  4. Click "Set up this day" to launch the Coach wizard. It tailors questions to your event type (it never assumes a wedding) and drafts a starting timeline you can refine.
  5. Set the venue location: use the inline "Set venue location" field with address autocomplete. The coordinates power golden-hour anchors (sunset/sunrise), so portraits can be timed to the light.
  6. Review the drafted items in the List view, then switch to Timeline to see the day laid out visually.
  7. When the day looks right, publish a client portal or per-vendor links from the share menu — see the sharing guides.
